I've been doing beats since 1987. Back then, I used dual cassette decks and vinyl to make my joints. Doing beats that way was called pause tapes. If you couldn't afford the heavy equipment like drum machine samplers, synthesizers things of that nature, you would go back to back with tapes from a record player to loop your beats. The loops wouldn't always be perfect, but I guess that’s where the drunken rhyme style comes from.
My new album Distraktions is due out late this year and it's all produced by me. I can't wait for people to hear it. I've built some boom bastic designs and worked with great musicians on this one.
